Hakata's early summer scenery

On May 30th, the "Funanorikomi" ceremony, a traditional early summer event in Hakata, took place!

The boat ride is a traditional event that has been carried out since the Edo period.
To mark the start of the "June Hakataza Grand Kabuki" performance, kabuki actors boarded boats and traveled down the Hakata River.

The road along the river was filled with people, cheering and waving at the boats, creating a lively atmosphere.
