Have you made plans to go cherry blossom viewing?
This year, the cherry blossoms in Fukuoka are expected to bloom around the average time of the year, starting in late March and reaching full bloom in early April.

The ruins of Fukuoka Castle, one of Fukuoka's best cherry blossom viewing spots, is located in Maizuru Park, close to Tenjin, the center of Fukuoka city.
Fukuoka Castle was built by the first feudal lord, Kuroda Nagamasa, between 1601 (Keicho 6) and 1607 (Keicho 12) in recognition of his military achievements in the Battle of Sekigahara.
It was also called Maizuru Castle. Although it is unknown whether or not it had a castle tower, it is a famous castle with large, medium and small castle towers and 47 turrets.

Currently, the temple has many historical sites, including the Tamon Yagura (a nationally designated important cultural property), the Kiinen Yagura (prayer tower), Shimonohashi Gomon (gate gate),
You can see historical sites such as Shiomi Yagura (a tangible cultural property designated by Fukuoka Prefecture).
The Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival (late March to early April) is held every year in the park, attracting many visitors from inside and outside Fukuoka Prefecture.
At night, the historic sites are lit up, and the view of the cherry blossoms from the remains of the castle tower, where the main citadel of Fukuoka Castle is said to have been, is spectacular (note that some facilities require an admission fee).
Some people also spread out picnic sheets in Maizuru Park and enjoy cherry blossom viewing.

The Fukuoka Municipal Subway (Airport Line) is a convenient way to get to Fukuoka Castle. On the first floor of Hakata Station on the Airport Line, there is a Take Out specialty shop called "Ganso Hakata Mentaiju Hakata" and
