Gorgeously decorated Yamakasa floats

The long-awaited "Hakata Gion Yamakasa" has begun!

In the cities of Tenjin and Hakata, the gorgeous and splendid "Kazariyama" floats are now open to the public!

The decorated Yamakasa is a 10-15 meter tall ornamental float made by skilled puppeteers.
Each year a theme is chosen based on historical figures or auspicious subjects.
This "Kazariyamakasa" is known as a "moving yamakasa", but it also appears in "Oiyama Narashi" and "Oiyama",
Did you know that there is only one "running decorated Yamakasa"?
